Gas Pipeline In India: The next big thing going to happen

Image
The Indian government has big plans for the gas pipeline in India . They plan to invest Rs.7.5 trillion in the development of gas and oil infrastructure. The gas requirement of the country is 53% imported and they are working to meet these growing gas needs and limit imports. Over the next five years, the prime minister has big plans to expand the gas pipeline infrastructure in India. Till 2024, India is planning to spend $60 billion on building an infrastructure that includes gas terminals and distribution networks across the country.  The pipeline installation companies are all set to create a gas pipeline network that is 16000 kilometers long. They are hopeful the network would be completed in the next four to six years. The most recent 450 km Kochi-Mangaluru gas pipeline is completed and will be serving 2.1 million people with piped natural gas. Along with the pipeline installation , 700 compressed natural gas stations are also installed. The Kochi-Mangaluru Gas pipeline in India

Pipeline rehabilitation Vs Repiping- What is a better approach?

Image
Pipeline installations done ages ago to transport fuel, water or gas need constant monitoring. Casing insulators are used to insulate and provide long-term protection from corrosion. Due to aging, they are at constant risk of corrosion or leaks. The damage caused to these pipelines is not only losing the resources but also the environmental harm they will cause due to leaks or eruptions. The question of whether to go for rehabilitation or repiping becomes critical for pipeline installation companies . It is important to access the pros and cons of both to come to a decision. Cost is a critical factor Pipeline rehabilitation and repiping both have a cost attached to them. Both labor and material costs should be considered before making the decision. While rehabilitation may be beneficial for the short term and may cost less than repiping it is important to take into account the cost of shutting down the pipeline for rehabilitation. The interruption during repair may also lead to ex

The Advanced Guide to Pipeline Rehabilitation

Image
What is Pipeline Rehabilitation? Pipeline Rehabilitation is a procedure that undertakes the replacement and repair of water and sewer pipelines that run underground in a city that connects houses, offices, and industries to the pipeline network.  The Modern Technique for Pipeline Rehabilitation Trenchless is the modern technology to repair, rehabilitate and replace pipelines without the need to excavate the pipelines.  Why is there a need for pipeline rehabilitation? Structural rehabilitation restores the pressure capacity of a pipeline that has been compromised. These products are designed to be fully pressure-containing and do not require any strength contribution of the host pipe.  Pipeline Rehabilitation is the broader term for repair and replacement, in order to process the major repairs, maintenance. Seek help from experts in order to examine and move ahead with the treatment plan for your pipeline systems.  Various Pipeline rehabilitation techniques A full range of pipeline r

Benefits of using pipe wear pads

Image
Before getting to know about the benefits of pipe wear pads, let’s start off with what are pipe wear pads? Pipe wear pads are pipeliners that are used on the outer diameter of the pipe structure. The pipe wear pads are usually made out of Fiber-reinforced polymer also known as fiber-reinforced liner. These are fitted in such a manner that it acts as a support structure for the pipeline where the vibrations in the pipeline rub against each other at a defined distance according to the entire pipeline layout. It is used in the installation of gas pipelines, oil pipelines, water substance pipelines , etc.  The pipe wear pads are also recognized by names like wear pads, pipe pads, or FPR pads for short forms. The greater use of these pads is worn resistance, noise reduction, greatly reduced friction, and high strength. Mostly used in industrial installations.  A gentle reminder, it’s important to get your pipeline systems a check-up from the specialists in case it needs assistance or main

What Is Pipeline Installation and What Methods Do for Installing a Pipeline

Image
Pipeline Installation and Its Methods Pipeline installation is a procedure that refers to laying out pipelines to help transport various natural resources from the origin of extraction to the desired destination for the resources. The most commonly known methods of pipeline installation are J-lay, S-lay, Tow methods, Reel-lay method, etc. Installation methods where seafloors are found can be quite challenging due to the external contamination factors.  Components used in pipeline installation: There are various types of components used in pipeline installation like pipes of various sizes, fittings like valves and joints, pumps like compressor and in case of gas pipelines blowers are used, booster stations, storage facilities for the pipelines extracts, intake and outlet passages, and other automated control equipment like computers and the communication devices that include cables, microwaves, and satellites. Boost stations are only required in case of a longer layout of pipelines.
