What Factors That Contribute To External Pipe Corrosion

Image
Pipeline corrosion Various pipeline manufacturing and installation companies consist of various materials like Iron, Copper, Polybutene, PVC, Galvanised Steel, etc. Usage of these materials is entirely based on the type of pipeline installation like Gas Pipeline , Oil Pipeline , Petrol Pipelines , water pipeline , and etc. The most commonly faced problem with pipelines is Corrosion, which takes place because of the substances passing through the pipelines and external weather conditions as well. Pipeline Corrosion is the oxidation and electro-chemical breakdown of the pipeline which is used to maintain a supply of any substance.   What are the causes of Pipeline Corrosion? The temperature of the water. High levels of Calcium present in water. Oxygen levels, excessive or inadequate. Exposure to sunlight. Incorrect installation of pipelines . Impurities in the pipeline. Underground soil or debris.  The pH level of water. The velocity of the substance passing through the p...

What safety precautions should be taken before installing a pipeline?

Before getting to install various types of pipelines like gas, oil, thermal, etc. There are various safety precautions and measures one should follow to keep themselves safe.  Firstly, wear a proper PPE kit to avoid any contact with the harmful substances available in the installation procedure. Keep a safe distance of 25-50meters varying upon the potential harm of the substance. Don’t get exposed to any sort of radiation, thermal or mechanical. Aggressive materials and atmospheric agents.  There are things that are literally not allowed while pipeline installations like being positioned near heat wires, district heat ducts, cold water pipes . Don’t force any of the parts into the installation. Don’t come in contact with the boiling discharged gases, Compromise mechanical stability, fire-protection.  The must-do while installation is as important, always do it while the time of the construction and take measures to prevent infiltration of substances. Duct openings...
